I think you will find that what actually made the difefrence was the / you added to the /path/to/mount/ Before: /path/to/mount/media/hostnamefusedefaults,noauto,uid=1000,gid=1000,user00 After: /path/to/mount//media/hostnamefusedefaults,noauto,uid=1000,gid=1000,user00 I had a similar problem with a \'cifs\' mount and \'mount -l\' still shows \'cifs\'
