Purpose:
    Home server to run Debian GNU/Linux
    Services to be run include:
        NFS File server
        Samba File server
        Bind DNS
        Apache HTTPd
        PostgreSQL
        Subversion
        OpenVPN
        VirtualBox
        Postfix + Dovecot

OS support:
    Hardware must be fully supported by Debian GNU/Linux 8.

Processor:
    64 bit CPU
    CPU must fast enought to be able to handle LUKS encryption (AES 256).

Disk controllers:
    Must be able to have at least 4 internal SATA drives. 6 or 8 is better.
    No hardware raid.

Power consumption:
    Must be power efficient. 
    Preferably something that allows various low power CPU states.


Ethernet:
    Gigabit ethernet required.
    Preferably 2 or 3 ports.

Memory:
    EEC RAM is prefered.
    At lest 8 GB max RAM, but 16 or 32 GB preferred.

Peripherals:
    USB 2 required
    USB 3 is a plus
    ESATA is a plus

Management interface:
    iLO, iDRAC or similar is a big plus.

        Disks: 4x3TB WD RED (LUKS, LVM, RAID-1/mdadm)
